In addition to everything else suggested, you can run the LDAP server
on the system i and authenticate against that. One nice thing about
that is that your LDAP server can have some profiles hooked to system
i profiles and others not hooked to system i profiles.

I have a need to have a web application to validate users from the iSeries. Has anyone attempted this if so how?

Example: Web application requires a sign on. All of the users have profiles on the iSeries. Therefore we would like to have them use their iSeries profiles to validate against the iSeries. Eliminating the need to keep a DB with users in it, that the web application validates against.

We have two web applications one will not need to access any data from the iSeries, the other will.
