Dave

You won't get the general search you want without writing something if you want to use green screen - it will all be based on FNDSTRPDM, though, probably.

WDSC is WebSphere Development Studio Client - if you have any of the development languages, you can install this on your PC. The latest rendering of it has the acronym RDI, and I don't remember what it means. There've been posts here about it.

Once you have it running, you go to the menu bar and find the iSeries search and go nuts!

Vern,

If I'm using the wrong native tools, the character based ones, and I should be
using a GUI one like WDSC, then show me how I invoke it. Does it come with
each i5 install? If so, where is it on the machine, how do I install or invoke,
etc?

Thanks,

Dave
