I suppose, but with the rack in a data center with 30+ other racks of
servers + 3 15 ton chillers, I don't think a little (more) noise is
going to make a difference in our shop.

OK, that's one vote for unbolting it.

BTW I love IBM for coming up with a TLA for a three letter word: AMD =
Air Movement Device = fan.
