You can do this easily with PDM.

WRKOBJPDM <Library>
(I usually subset at this point by physical files only)
Choose the file you want to search singly or in groups.
Use option 25 - Enter the string you want to search for.
On the Find String screen I use option 5 to display the physical file.

So far as I'm aware, DBU and WRKDBF also have at least some of these
capabilities.

Surely, you've got at least one of these database access utilities on
your system. Some installations have more than one.
