While in your gmail account, there is a /more options/ pull-down menu from which /mute/ can be the specified action on a /conversation/; the email is tracked as a /conversation thread/ instead of individual messages. You can learn about the feature by using the _help_ link in the gmail session. Although /mute/ is not described on that page, a search is available. Searching on the /mute feature/ will yield some content from the Gmail Help Center about how to use that feature:
