Does RPGLE BIF %TIME() return the time based on the current system value
(clock) or a cached value?

I have an exit program which logs FTP Client requests and use %TIME()
when writing a log entry.

In the log there were two sessions both with the same job number. The
first session was a get file, operation id 0 and 7. The second session
was a delete file, operation ids 0 and 3.

The FTP client connected, logged on (call exit program) and received
file (call exit program).

File is processed.

The FTP client connected, logged on (call exit program) and deleted file
(call exit program).

All four calls to the exit program happened in the same job. The
%TIME() returned is the same for all four calls even though the calls to
the FTP client exit point were made over several minutes.

Any ideas?

Would %TIMESTAMP() behave this way too?

Thanks all!
