I just completed the download and install of RDi-RDB to take a look at EGL and noticed on the EGL project wizard that it talked about EGL being used to create local Windows executable code in addition to Web application code. I have not heard anyone talk about this feature of EGL. Can EGL be used to create Windows based client server applications and web applications?
Wow. I've been concentrating on thin client and now rich client so much that I've forgotten about the RCP capabilities of EGL! RCP is the platform-independent thick client widgetry of Eclipse; it uses the Standard Widget Toolkit and creates Java applications that, like Eclipse itself, can run on any platform.

I haven't looked at this technology at all lately, Mike, so I can't tell you much about it. But I'll try to find out more.
