Reading the InfoCentre note on CHGCMDDFT, it appears that this command makes a change to the actual *CMD object (hence the suggestion to make copies of system commands before changing them). Is this correct?

I ask because I would like to confirm what the setting was for a particular vendor command before a recent upgrade to that vendor software. If I can restore the *CMD object from tape to some other library, it should be (relatively) simple to determine.

Any alternate strategies would also be much appreciated.
