I've done a lot of this. I agree with Walden - I dunno about the
automatically stuff. I have Ingenico eN-Touch 3000 devices connected
to Neoware thin clients running embedded NT or XP. The 'brains' are in
the thin client. I send an rexec call to the thin client that fires
off the code to talk to the signature capture device. After the
signature has been acquired, the thin client transfers the signature
to the iSeries. I'm not using a web service - I wrote this stuff long
before I bought your software. :) Which works quite well btw.

Hi all,

I have a need for a client that works in insurance. They want to be able to
have a customer sign up for a policy using a physical device similar to the
following ePad (similar to what you sign when buying something at Walmart
with your credit card).

The end goal is to eliminate a lot of paper work. I am hoping to find a
device that can easily transmit a signature to a URL via HTTPS (i.e. RPG CGI
program) for storage so it can be brought up later if necessary.

Has anybody already been down this path and can tell me a solid choice for a
device to go with? I am expecting it to require a USB connection to a
desktop PC and corresponding software.

Thanks in advance,
Aaron Bartell
