Eric,

I'm using Data Propagator now for "feeding" my data warehouse from one i5 LPAR to another. I love it for that purpose.

But, if you're trying to do Distributed Queries or Distributed Access across IBM and non-IBM database and I think IBM as well (i5 AND the real DB2s), you'll need IBM's Federated Server (Used to be called Information Integrator). Hopefully, I'll get that in about a year.
