The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

This is why. In the job log of that you will see:
SBMJOB CHGJOB dftwait(2)
Job 000001/JOHN/QDFTJOBD submitted to ...
SBMJOB CMD(SAV DEV('/qsys.lib/tap03.devd') +
OBJ(('/dtmdir' *INCLUDE)) +
ENDOPT(*UNLOAD)) JOB(DIRSAVE)
Job 000002/JOHN/DIRSAVE submitted to...
So the default wait time on job 000001/JOHN/QDFTJOBD will now be 2
seconds.
But, and here's the rub, the default wait time on job 000002/JOHN/DIRSAVE
will still be the default (probably 120 seconds, or two minutes).
The CHGJOB must be in the same job as the SAV.
Having the same job spawn two different jobs; one being a CHGJOB and the
other being the SAV, does not suffice.
