A script is probably a good idea. I used to use scripts all the time for
new machines. Back on AS/400's (remember them?) I used to have someone at
the remote site pop in a tape and run that script to set up the machine.
However, running a script is not something that normally comes to mind on
an unload/reload. You just assume that all information is there. I am
not talking about restoring an existing machine to a new machine as a raw
shell and then changing host name and IP addresses and ... I am talking
about your basic unload/reload from old hardware to new as shown in
Appendix D of the Backup and Recovery Guide.
