Actually, you don't have to worry about email addresses being picked up
by spiders in the archives.

The archiving software automatically munges obvious email addresses into
unlinked text with the domain name removed (abc@xxxxxxx).

That aside, let me urge everyone to use caution when putting in dummy
email addresses.

def.com is a registred domain. It doesn't appear to have currently
have an active mail server, but that's not to say that it never will.
If it does, I really don't think the admin will appreciate spam
attempts to user-id abc.

Don't use a domain name that you are not authorized to use, even if
that domain name is not currently a registered domain. It might be in
the future.

Best is to use a domain name ending in .invalid because .invalid is
reserved to never be used as a valid TLD. So abc@xxxxxxxxxxx is fine,
as would be nospam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx, etc.

If the software is smart enough to reject domains ending in .invalid,
there are other things that can be done, but such discussion belongs
in pctech, not here.
