Rob,

That is a nice one. Time after time I find that my
coworkers don't know a lot of things that in this list we
take for granted, so I don't think very much about them.
Maybe you and Scott ("Classic Traps") should write a book
together :-).

Some that come to mind:

GO SECTOOLS
You can do a lot with this menu: Disable User IDs according
with its activity (or lack thereof) in the system.
Enable/Disable users according to a work schedule. Check
any "default" passwords, etc.

CPYTOIMPF:
Did you know that is *VERY* easy to create a TAB delimited
file, put it in the IFS and have it accessed by your users
as an EXCEL file? 

iSeries Nav (maybe it should be No. 1)
The easiest way to interface with your Sistem i's admin
functions. You can even create a direct access links to
your desktop (with right button) in many (if not all) of
the iSeries Nav's functions. Giving your users access to
their spool files, for example, allow them to just "drag
and drop" them as text files on their PCs.

I have found that many people (even old Admins) don't know
about the performance agents found in Management Central.
