Subject: Problem with Index Advisor
Hi all,
(Running V5R4 Ops Nav against V5R3 i5/OS - Current on both,
Service Pack and PTFs)
I ran a SQL statement thru Visual Explain in order to check
for any recommended indexes. The Index Advisor suggested
one SQL index, and it was created using the Dialog Box's
button.
The problem is that every time I run Visual Explain (with
the same sentence) the Index Advisor recommends again
exactly the same index!!. Moreover, the new index does not
seem to be used (if checked with STRSQL under debug or with
Visual Explain).
Has anyone seen this happen before? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Luis Rodriguez
