Subject: IBM System i Fact Find Website

Hello list,

I learned about the IBM System i Fact Find website from this list. I
use it periodically to help me understand what system my customers
have. During a recent use of the website, I found a note posted there
by IBM indicating that they are going to discontinue supporting the
information at this site after 2008. In fact, they are no longer adding

new model information here. The site, if you have forgotten, is found
at:

http://www-919.ibm.com/factserv/factFind?machDB=

There is a link at the site to register your comments about its
withdrawl. If you use this site or have found it useful in the past,
I'd suggest sending an email through the link to let them know that this

is a very useful service that IBM provides. I sent an email and after
several days I did get a response indicating that they are thinking
about an alternative way to support providing this information. If more

people let them know that it is useful information, we might be
successful in getting IBM to provide the info down the road.
