I like it, Simon! That deserves a second to the motion...SHUTDOWN at
1:50 AM (it'll be in Autumn now), and then re-IPL at 2:10 AM...

That said, I vote for abolishing it altogether...

You have overlooked the legal issues. The hour between the shifts does
not exist. While it is easy enough to jump forward by an hour without
disrupting anything the reverse is not so easy. You will have the time
between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM occurring twice. Much better to shut-down
and restart the system an hour later. I note that PCs/Macs handle both
movements without rebooting but they are personal machines. I think
servers of all types should be shut down during the shift back.
