The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Should all old code be retrofitted? Maybe not.
However, should:
- The code be retrofitted when the software vendor renames the package and
actually skips an entire version? And makes everything ILE?
- Constraints be assigned when the above occurs (and multi member files
disposed of)?
- Journals be used which require no change in code?
- User bolt on's, new tables, etc all use constraints, real date fields,
etc?
The answer is a resounding YES!
