FWIW... I think QCAPCMD is overkill for most things. (I've used it -- but I tend to only use it when I REALLY need it.)

Steve, you might consider QCMDEXC. It's very easy to use. Error messages go to the job log (and RPG's PSDS) and therefore there's a wealth of tools available to work with them.
