They worked in that partition until a few days ago when i partitioned
it. The other partition is in production, and i can't IPL that one
right now.

I don't see why they would suddenly stop working. I just IPLed the
problematic partition from CD and ran disk surface analyze on one of
the disks. Went through without a hitch.
