To make the changes specific to the ODBC requests, there is an
initialization exit point for QZDASOINIT that can be used to activate a
CHGQRYA QRYOPTLIB(the_lib). See QIBM_QZDA_INIT in the WRKREGINF. There
is likely an example to be found that codes this exit; maybe even doing
the CHGQRYA. This may be preferable, perhaps not [as assumed] presently
but in the future, as compared to using QUSRSYS to effect activating one
set of options across the entire system.
