Once you get the console going, you should boot into "M" manual mode (either "A M" or "B M") to get a DST display. C600 40xx is in the range where the OS starts up. With a console, you should see more detailed messages.


Anyway, I keep getting the SRC A6005004 on IPL just after the C6004081. The console is fine, I have checked the cable 50 times over, tried swapping it from ports 0/0 to 0/1 etc but still am getting SRC A6005004.

The console should be on the first controller, first port (0), and lowest address 0. Check your terminal's address setting.
