The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I'm not an SMTP guru; neither do I play one on TV. I could use a hand
from somebody who is.
On a customer's box:
We found that one of our products that can send
programmatically-generated email out of its server using MSF wasn't
working because MSF and the SMTP jobs weren't active.
So we tried starting them.
MSF starts, but can't find SMTP.
It can't find SMTP because STRTCPSVR *SMTP gets as far as the "SMTP
server starting." message, but SMTP never actually successfully launches.
Looking at their SMTP configuration, I find that the only significant
differences are that in the "automatic registration section, USRIDPFX
and ADDRESS are different from our production box (but automatic
registration is set to *NO both here and there, so I don't know what
difference that would make), and their PCTRTGCHR is *NO where ours is *YES.
What else would keep SMTP from coming up?
