I think Walden is getting a nice wakeup call
No wake-up call here. I've maintained that the state of System i in
education is pitiful for a long time.
We (as in LISUG, the Long Island user group) used to be involved in
partners in education w/SUNY Farmingdale, and I can tell you from
experience that it was a colossal nightmare to get what was needed from
IBM. Now I know there have been improvements since then, not the least
of which is access to a shared system so colleges don't have to buy the
hardware, but the mere fact that IBM can actually list the colleges
teaching System i should tell you something. Can you imagine MS having a
list of those teaching .net, or Sun having one of those teaching Java,
or Redhat having one of those teaching Linux?
