Dave should answer on his own, but it appears to me that his definition
of a "real RDBMS" is based on its "popularity". Thus on that basis
alone, i5/OS DB2 will never measure up. Consequently he looks down from
his ivory tower and condescendingly points his finger in derision and
scorn at a product and its small group of recalcitrant users who refuse
to migrate to defacto standards. It would be impossible for him to
fathom a developer or user like me moving from MS SQL Server and Oracle
to i5/OS DB2, and thinking the latter to be a better way to access and
maintain data.
