What format is the data in the text file? CPYFRMIMPF will put IFS
stream files into a database file however it only supports standard text
file delimiters such as tab or comma with quotes around the text. I
usually create an import library and special import files that are the
same layout as the text files. I can then copy to the real database
mapping the fields over to the production file. I like to use RPG to
validate the data as well.
