This worked for me when I had a similar problem:file,
To use QSHELL to remove the files, do the following:
1 From an operating system command line, type the following:
STRQSH
Press the Enter key.
2 To change directory to the directory containing the invalid file
name, type the following: CD mydir
3 To remove the file, type the following: RM "invalid file name"
Note: Double-quotes are required in the RM command.
4 Press F3 to end QSHELL.

This is very odd. While testing my RPG pgm (HSSF) to create a XLS
Ifile
screwed up the file name. I called the file:
\\QNTC\WDSERVER2\FLASH\ORTHOFLASH\flash_test.xls Yes, that is the
size.
name, slashes and all.
Now I cannot delete this file. I have used WRKLNK Opt 4 and the error
is
'Object not found'. Opt 8 , though, show attributes, including a
Inot
IPLed the system and tried again with the same results. I have also
tried using iNav ->File System and the error is 'The file, ...., was
are
found.'
