Joe,

Thanks for the clarification.

I did not read "long been" as a thing that is still in the past. It could
still be - you were not clear. Maybe that is just me, but it seems you
accuse a lot of people of not reading what you thought.

I am not trying to argue your words, but I find that you write fast, and
then expect us to read exactly what you were ~thinking~. We can't do that -
we don't have access to the JoeWiki.

Joe,

I read your email. It said nothing about the past. Next time, if you say you
are going to be clear, be clear. Then, us who are still left reading your
words won't make the mistakes you claim we make.

"There has long been"

"that's been"

"They've both always been"

In these phrases, Trevor, "has ... been" is the clue. It indicates past
tense.

"But now"

"Because now"

"So now"

The word "now" is the other clue. It means that I'm talking about the
present.

Does anyone wonder why I get upset? I'm trying to do something
productive for the community, and I get this crap. It really makes me
not want to participate in the lists at all. Should I just go back to
ignoring Trevor's posts completely?

<sigh>
