Rob,
Was compiling on V5R4 with target release V5R3.

That was the issue.
I changed the physical order and it solved the problem.

With the SQL precompiler you really need to state exactly what version of
the OS you are running. It just keeps getting better. Granted, prior to
V5R3 it was a wasteland but they're really kicking it in now. That being
said...
When you said: "Later, in execution" did you also mean in physical order?
That used to be a concern.
