The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We replaced our aging Perle 494e control units with the BOS IP units a
couple of years ago and I was SO glad. Got so tired of messing with the
(dirty) diskette drives in those things, the abysmal configuration, etc.
BOS have a GUI into them and no "moving parts" :-)

Good think you are using a OEM remote controller. I hear 5294's, 5394's
and 5494's are all going the way of the dodo bird come V6R1. I suspect
OEM controllers that are simply 5x94 look alikes may have an issue.
<snip>
i5/OS Enterprise Extender support does not provide:
SNA-based remote workstation support, such as 5294, 5394, or 5494
controller: There
are a number of OEM vendor solutions available that allow 5250 type
workstations to
attach to eServer i5 systems across a TCP/IP network. The 5250
workstations attach to
OEM controllers, which encapsulate the workstation 5250 data stream into
TCP/IP traffic.
The Telnet server handles the communications on the i5/OS system (the 5250
workstations appear as Telnet clients).
There are multiple OEM vendors that provide this capability.
