After my 20 year + love affair with i5 and all of it's preceding name going
back to the main frame would hurt but mu COBOL skills are still current so I
guess I could relearn MVS and CICS.

By the way you can have all the Arctic air that has penetrated the deep
South. I too senior to get frost byte.

Jack Derham

Perhaps this will give some hope to those concerned about RPG jobs!

My favorite quote was: "Terry Powers, head of Sapphire Technologies
recalled a recent conversation with a CIO of a Canadian financial
company who was worried his COBOL programmers would be retiring in
three to five years. The CIO wanted to find out where he could find
suitable replacements. "When I asked him what's stopping him from
upgrading to more current technology, his answer was: '$400
million'," said Powers.
