Good point.

I'm not sure whether it is still supported. I do seem to recall from reading
various Memo to Users docs that some utilities around netware have been
removed although I have no idea how applicable they are never having used it
either.

It seemed like a good idea to suggest an approach something that might have
some longevity and being a bit more generic might have some other uses.

Isn't the QNetWare file system supposed to handle Novell file shares?
(That's what I thought it was for, but have never used Novell so maybe
I'm wrong.)

I'd look to see if Novell has an NFS driver and copy to an NFS directory.
Failing that I guess an automated FTP is an alternative,
