The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

You bring up a good point Pat. When I got my first AS/400 to replace my
S/36 I tried to compile an RPG program. It failed because of a one file
limitation. I thought "Good Grief! They've taken modularized programming
to the extreme!" I guess, based on that, I should have stopped trying to
use RPG on the system eh? However, someone else here called IBM and got a
ptf that fixed that.
Also, the first one I had didn't have a STRTCP command. I guess, based on
that, I should have never tried STRTCP on any future versions of the O/S,
eh?
There's a lot of people who cling to outdated stuff, like no physical
files (aka tables) should have a primary key.
And, still do that with their latest and greatest release. Should see all
the duplicate item numbers, order numbers, etc we have after merging
databases.
While the thought of forcing all I/O through their programs sounds
appealing there's nary a vendor who has written an interface to merge two
databases together. Granted, the logic should have been
fetch
if 0 fetched
insert
otherwise
exception
endif
And I don't know why some variation of this wasn't here, but still, a
little primary key constraint on the file would have been nice.
