RFTDCA converter -- MIDRANGE-L

I will preface this by saying hwta I know you all will say .. I know I know .. don't use OV documents. We have to.

I have just done a remote install of Windows XP and MS Offcie 2003 on 4 machines. As part of our setup we place teh RFTDCA32.CNV in the text converter folder. This allows us to use MS WOrd to open RFT documents from QDLS. The convereter opens the document but if changes are made, it fails ... and wants to send an error report to Micrsoft.

I have replaced the RFTDCA32.CNV file with one I know works. It is the same version of MS Office that I am using. Same service pack level. I've gotten all the Windows and Office updates that are available. I've tried it on another Dell GX520 in our office. It works.

Any ideas?
