Lukas,

I was going to argue with you because of the high expense. However,
you're right. We're under the impression that faults in our UPS is what
has blown a dozen or so power supplies lately. If we were on separate
UPSs we might not have had that situation. That, and a few other moronic
decisions, like plugging both power supplies into the same power strip.
The UPS guy came just a hair short of accepting responsibility.
There was also this time when a coworker turned the dial a little too far
when getting training from the UPS guy.
I'll run that by the boss and see what he says.
However, bills are starting to pile up. What with the request for
draining work around the building due to the flooding this week,
the request for a new blower because the main unit air conditioning has
died in the computer room today,
the request for a larger air conditioner because when the main one blows
the backup can't keep up. (We'll end up with three).

Have a few outlets in the machine room that are "brown" instead of the
orange UPS backed outlets. All power tools, vacuum cleaners, fans,
dehumidifiers, etc should be plugged into brown and not orange. Motors,
yuck.
