Re: qshell - grep removes CR from lines ?

Most common problem for people with regular expressions, repeat after me... dot does NOT match new line.

in unix dot means: [^\n]
in windows dot means: [^\r\n]

for explicit matching of any char including new line, check out \s or \S

I have not checked the grep in qshell, but there are also, somtimes, options for specifying the handling of end-of-line characters.
