Using SYSDRVPGM(*IBMSNMPDRV) is a good choice, but requires both the printer itself and the print
server to support the SNMP functionality

Another option would be SYSDRVPGM(*IBMIPPDRV) which only requires that the print server support IPP
(Internet Print Protocol). IPP support in a print server is pretty common now-a-days.

Charles

FWIW, we have 2 Zebra 110xiIII Plus. These are different than yours, but
we
have them set up as print devices, like so:

CRTDEVPRT DEVD(ZEBRA1) +
DEVCLS(*LAN) +
TYPE(3812) +
MODEL(1) +
LANATTACH(*IP) +
PORT(9100) +
ATTACH(*DIRECT) +
ONLINE(*YES) +
FONT(11 *NONE) +
FORMFEED(*AUTOCUT) +
SEPDRAWER(*FILE) +
PRTERRMSG(*INQ) +
MSGQ(*CTLD) +
ACTTMR(170) +
INACTTMR(*SEC15) +
LINESPEED(19200) +
WORDLEN(8) +
PARITY(*NONE) +
STOPBITS(1) +
TRANSFORM(*YES) +
MFRTYPMDL(*HP4) +
PPRSRC1(*LETTER) +
PPRSRC2(*LETTER) +
ENVELOPE(*NUMBER10) +
ASCII899(*NO) +
IMGCFG(*NONE) +
CHRID(*SYSVAL) +
RMTLOCNAME('192.168.0.41') +
SYSDRVPGM(*IBMSNMPDRV) +
PUBLISHINF(*UNKNOWN *UNKNOWN *UNKNOWN *UNKNOWN *BLANK +
(*UNKNOWN)) +
TEXT('Zebra print def from ICS')

These have internal Zebra printservers as well as the Zebra wireless
internal print server. We're using them wirelessly with Cisco CB21 cards.

Lukas,

I'm wondering why I send System I prints (with barcodes) to
the printer (to which I can print to now from a windows app),
and nothing happens?
I can't seem to find the spooled prints anywhere?

Don

Can your Zebra Printer handle PCL?

I seriously doubt that - ours only speak ZPL or EPL, and we
have used HP Print Servers (the 300 series) with them without
any troubles. But the Zebra printers can't handle PCL/PS -
thus you can't use HPT.

I use these parameters to create the outq:

CRTOUTQ OUTQ(PRTETIK) RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) RMTPRTQ('1') CNNTYPE(*IP)
DESTTYPE(*OTHER) TRANSFORM(*YES) MFRTYPMDL(*WSCST) WSCST(QWPDEFAULT)
INTNETADR('192.168.1.100') SEPPAGE(*NO)

You'll have to send plain text to the printer, according to
the ZPL or EPL manual, depending on which languages your
printer speaks.
