What a loss it was, when our English-speaking ancestors discarded the whole concept of having separate singular and plural second-person pronouns. In German, for example, you have "du" for second-person singular familiar, "ihr" for second-person plural familiar, and "Sie" for second-person formal (either singular or plural).

Let us be thankful that, at least most of the time, programming languages are more precise than natural languages.
