RAID should even out the data across all the drives. Are the empty
drives in the raid set ? After I replaced a defective unit, the system
balanced the drives to fill the empty one within a day or two.

Subject: iSeries LPAR Issues -- Version 2.0
Hello all,
I've moved from my Keene State College email address
(kseymour@xxxxxxxxx) to
this gmail one because I was getting a lot of email and wanted others to
have access to this resource.
I noticed the other day that when I generate a system plan there is a
table
called Drives that gets built. Despite the fact that there are four
drives
in the machine, that list is empty. Is this bad? I'm wondering if the
RAID
controller died or something, but I figured the machine would have
called
home if that was the case. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Kevin
