Yeah,

I had thought of that. I guess I got focussed on why the EXISTS doesn't work in the CASE statement. I find the CASE statement very powerful because it provides an easy way to apply logic to an SQL statement without the need for UDFs. I guess I'm always looking for the most elegant solution. Thanks for replying. Especially when it's Thanksgiving in the USA! (I'm in Australia))
