the system is over priced, under powered and starved for investment.

i5/OS needs support for long object names. ILE has to be able to
support reflection and other meta programming features. that would
eliminate signature violations. The focus of RPG as a C like efficent
language is outdated on the P6 processor. RPG has to be morphed into a
Java like language. Since i5/OS uses the SLS architecture, the 16 byte
pointer used on the S/38 in 1980 should be increased to 64 bytes. That
would enable cross partition addressability and eliminate the 16 meg
space barrier.
