Subject: SQL Date Math - Where's the data?
So...when I do this...
SELECT date(substr(char(sudate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(sudate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(sudate),7,2)), current_date, (current_date - 30
days) FROM michael/sumslsp
I get this (abridged):
DATE CURRENT DATE Date expression
2007-11-12 2007-11-13 2007-10-14
2007-11-12 2007-11-13 2007-10-14
But when I do this:
SELECT * FROM michael/sumslsp WHERE
date(substr(char(sudate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(sudate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(sudate),7,2)) between current_date and
(current_date - 30 days)
I get this:
No data selected for output.
Obviously there are records returned...like millions
actually. What's up with that?
