I would like to load a file into an array with one of the fields being a
field name that can then be used in the RPGLE program. Right now I have to
hard code the field name that I want to use for my scan operation. How can
I use the array element name?

Jim Waymire

Example:

c* Determine the size of the string
c ' ' checkr ckdata(x) X1
c* ------------------------------------------------
----------
c if ckstart(x) = 0
c eval Y = 1
c else
c eval Y = ckstart(x)
c endif
c* ------------------------------------------------
----------
c* ------------------------------------------------
----------
c if ckfield(x) = 'TSF024'
<--------I want to be able to use a variable name from the array rather than
hard code
c ckdata(x):x1 scan ckarray(1):Y z
45
c 45 leave
c endif
c* ------------------------------------------------
----------
