The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I suspect that if we did either of those, we'd be hip-deep in false
alarms for things that have long-since been disconnected, or that we
just plain don't use, given that it's a somewhat jury-rigged second-hand
box.
We mirror it, and since we've had it on 100% mirroring, we've never
crashed. We've had to hot-swap drives, and in the case of today's
problem, we even had to drop it down to DST in order to pull a pair out
of the user ASP, but we've never crashed.
