in 132 column mode. But MSGSFLC doesn't have a DSPMOD so it will be

Try putting a qualified DSPMOD on all formats (except subfiles) like:

A 60 DSPMOD(*DS4)

Just putting a qualified DSPMOD(*DS4) on the MSGSFLC record (and qualifying it, for now, with the same indicator as the SFLDSPCTL) ended up solving BOTH problems!
