Thanks, we might try that, even though that referred to Linux on an IXS card.
We're trying to boot from it.
So we tried:

When we do a WRKLNK '/QOP*' we get

So we did this
CHGNWSD NWSD(HQLINUX) IPLSRC(*STMF) IPLSTMF('/QOPT/SLES10SP.001/ISERIES64')
IPLPARM(*NONE) When we vary it back on we get:
CPDB1AD-Network server HQLINUX vary on failed.
reason code 0007
0007: IPL source not valid.
