There is the Move Library to ASP API
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/systems/scope/i5os/topic/apis/qhsmmovl.htm
though it does have some limitations (and is really a save/restore under the covers).

Don,
With all due respect, you cannot move an object from one ASP to another.

Cannot move an object from one traditional ASP to another. Save it to
media, delete it, make sure that the ASP is otherwise clear. Delete the
User ASP, and add it System ASP. Restore it.

It seems that in fixing both the failed drive and the failed email send,
I was reminded that the box in question has 42% of its drive space in
ASP 2, almost none of which is actually being used.
I could, of course, move a mirrored pair or two back to ASP 1, but I'm
thinking that there are a few large objects on the box that would
probably be better off in the second ASP.
But how do I move things from ASP to ASP (preferably without being bitten)?
