Problem Summary:
When varying on a line, controller, and device description simultaneously,
the message CPA5714 is generated in the QSYSOPR message queue and System
Reference Code (SRC) B6007002 in the Product Activity Log.
Resolution:
Typically, these errors occur when all three objects associated with a
switched connection are varied on at the same time (commonly through a CL
program). The controller is varied on before the line has completed the Vary
On process and, therefore, the message is posted.
Change the Vary on Wait (VRYONWAIT) parameter in line description to a value
(between 30 and 180 seconds), rather than *NOWAIT. This parameter specifies
the wait time for a switched line when an application opens or acquires an
ICF file immediately after vary on the communications descriptions.
