I was trying to use gcc 3.3.2 for AIX 5.2 from www.bullfreeware.com.

I did find out that the gcc-3.3.2.0.exe actually is an AIX executable, not a
PC executable. And that it is an UnzipSFX self extractor. That created a
gcc-3.3.2.0.bff file, which is a backup-file-format that can be accessed
using the AIX "restore" command.

So it gcc is installed, but does not run. Bunch of errors when checking the
version.

gcc -v
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program gcc because of the following errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for gcc because:
0509-136 Symbol __strtollmax (number 52) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o).
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the
'dump -Tv' command.
Brian.

Do you know what gcc version it is? I have a gcc.3.3.4.tar.Z file (dated
8/3/06) in my IFS but I can't remember if it is for V5R2 or V5R3. We are
at V5R3 but it may have been installed earlier.
