I have a model 270 22A4 (in case anybody cares, you can get a nice rack
configuration including lots of cool information from SST).

As near as I can figure, this machine will NOT support 1GB memory DIMMs
(feature code 3027). This is a bit of a problem, since the smaller
DIMMs
are not exactly proportionally priced.

Then again, I have to add two DIMMs at a time, so maybe getting a couple
of
512MB DIMMs (f/c 3025) is the way to go. Of course, finding them is
like
pulling hen's teeth. I'm tired of going to 1200 different online shops
that
say "request a quote for availability and price!"
